Personal Statement

The theme of my dress is a party outfit which someone would wear to a party. I chose to make my party outfit red because the colour red looks visually impactive and it would make my model look more flashy.

The fabrics that I used are red netted and black thick floral. I used black fabric for my top which has thick floral patterns on. For the skirt I used red net. I added red sequins on my top and made it look glitzy. To make my party outfit look more eye-catching I got a thick belt which would top the last bit of my outfit.

The make-up that I got done was black smokey eyes and had red lipstick on. To make my outfit look more attractive I had accessories on which was two thick bracelets with a black round ring.

Which decade would you prefer to live in and why?

I would prefer to live in the year 2013 which is now because i like the fashion trend at the moment. Back in 1950's glamour became fashionable pencil skirts and A-line skirt was very popular. Dresses would often have ruffles or lace (netted) on whereas now in 2013 the dresses are really long (top to bottom) and most of them have splits on them which makes the dress look more attractive. In 1950's the colours in fashion were not as bright as they are now but now in 2013 the colours are bright which i prefer more. In 1950's hair was waved. I would prefer having straight hair or maybe a big bun on the top but not waved hair. Being a housewife in 1950's isn't as easy as how it is now. In 1950's women worked very hard back then feminism had not freed women from home. They used to also come home and do a lot of chores.

Back in 1920's the party outfits werent as flashy

as they are now. The style on this party outfit looks

attractive. It has black beads all over the dress. The

colour of this party outfit is dull.

   1930's Party Outfit

   This is a 1930s black lace party outfit.

   The designs and patterns on this outfit

   is all laced which looks more eye catching.

     This is a teal lace party outfit.

     clear bodice has cotton lace sprinkled with

     rhinestones. This party outfit is pleated which

     looks more improved.

This is a 1950's vintage party outfit.

On this party outfit it shows sequined applique

which shows through the top lace layer.

There is a bow on the top centre of the dress

for a finishing look for this party outfit.

1960's Party Outfit

                            

       This is a 1960's cocktail party outfit. This dress has

       polka dots all over it which makes the dress

       look visually impactive. This dress has pleats

       which makes it look more striking.

has 4 layers with ruffles on the bottom.

It also has pleats which makes the dress look

1980's Party Outfit

This is a 1980's black lace vintage outfit. This
party outfit has gathered layers of ruffles for the
skirt. The arms are netted with a puff on
each shoulder for a finishing touch.

1990's Party Outfit

This is a 1990's vintage party outfit. The material of
this dress is black with purple, pink and white
flowers. There is a fabric belt that ties in the
back.

2000's Party Outfit

This is a 2000's red strapless party outfit.
It has silver stones on with layered
chiffon hem. The bottom of this dress is gathered
which makes the dress look more attractive.

2013 Party Outfit

This is a 2013 party outfit. This dress is satin with
2 straps on both shoulders. Its
also fitted. To finish the complete look
it has a black and silver massive broach.
