How to organise a photoshoot

In order to organise a photoshoot you will need a number of things which you will have to participate in.

You will need:
-Fittings
-Accessories
-Models
-Venue
-Make Up Artists
-Photographer
-Music
-Refreshments

Make Up Artist
On the photo shoot day the Make Up Artist will arrive at the venue (location) early. Whilst waiting for the models to arrive the Make Up Artist will slowly get everything ready and started. It is really important for the Make Up Artists to know what theme and make up they will be doing for the models. Once the make up has been applied by the Make Up Artists the models can check themselves out and see how they look and whether it goes with the theme they are modelling for.

Fittings
It is significant that the models outfit fit them without any hassle. If they are having problems with the fittings, changes can be made. It is also important that the models feel comfortable whilst going on for the photo shoot. You wouldn't want someone to feel uncomfortable modelling for a photo shoot.

Photographer
The photographer must make sure he/she brings the right equipment with them. The photographer has to also know how many photos are going to edited and which ones he/she is going to keep after the photoshoot. The photographer also decides whether the model should have a back drop deciding on the theme the model is modelling for.

Models
On the day of the photo shoot the models try their outfit and practice on what they will be doing. They rehears

Accessories
you must make sure you bring in the correct accessories with you on the day of the photoshoot. You can also tell your Make Up Artist whether your accessories match your outfit if you are feeling unsure.

Refreshments
On the big day refreshments are available. visiters are welcomed with a ticket and refreshments.

Auguste Clown/artist research

1) The theme of my clown is Auguste Clown. The Auguste Clown is less intelligent and always tends to have baggy, mis-matched and very bright clothes on. The 4 different artists that i have researched on are: John Galliano, Desigual, Sandra Rhodes and John Paul Gaultier. These artists have inspired me and has give me ideas for my final outcome. The prints and the luminous colours and patterns link to my theme because it includes bright clashing colours which my matches my theme as my clown has bright clothes on.

Desigual Clown Prints

This is a clown print on this dress.
Black and red have been mostly used
on this clown print dress. The composition
of this clown print looks interesting.

This is a another clown print on this
dress. This dress has a clown on the top
with stripes coming across the shoulder.

This is a desigual clown print. The background of
this clown print is black and blue sequins, it
looks very sparkly with a visual texture.

Sandra Rhodes

This is a top made by Sandra Rhodes. Sandra
Rhodes has used bright clashing colours
on this top which looks visually impactive.

This dress is very colourful. The shapes and
patterns used on this garment looks very
 detaile and creative.

This top is different out of most of
the other tops Sandra Rhodes has created. I like
this because its something different. The colours
are bold and the patterns on this top is
detailed.

On this garment the colours are block
colours. The designs on this garment
is precise.

John Galliano Circus Collection

This is garment is made by John Galliano.
Galliano's overall garments come out very
over the top. The colours on this garment are
highlighted are exaggerated.

The colours on these tops are very bright. The
styles and designs on these tops looks
eye catching.

This is another garment made by John Galliano.
I like this dress because its simple.

This dress is over the top. This dress has ruffles
all over which makes the dress look
striking and eyecatching.

John Paul Gaultier

This dress made by John Paul Gaultier
is very intricate. The colours and patterns
used on this garment is very attractive.

This dress looks very creative. I like
the colours used on this dress
because its nude colours. I like the
bottom bit of the dress because it something
different.

This dress is nice and simple. I like the
black pattern on the bottom of the dress. The
colour of this dress looks very traditional.

This is a long dress.I like the floral print
on this long dress because there are different
colours on which looks detailed.

why was the new look so shocking in the 1950's?

Why was the new look shocking in the 1950s?

In 1945 after World War 2 had ended Christian Diors new look fashion had come out. On 12 February 1947 Dior launched his first fashion collection for Spring-Summer 'in February 1947 Christion dior bought fashion back with a fanfare when he unveiled his new season of clothes' The new look was shocking because Chistion Dior would waste his money on fabric which only rich people could afford and buy. In my opinion if Chistion Dior bought cheap fabric with the his designs the poor people would be able to buy it.

What did people wear before the new look?
The new look is clothes that was made by Christion Dior. 'We got used to skirts on the knee and no lower, and doing without turn ups on trousers' Women got used to the low skirts, material was a waste.
What was the new look?
The New look was that Christian Dior developed his own ideas and made his own garments. 'Soft sloping shoulders over cinched in waist and full skirt which came to mid calf' After the world war long skirts were out. Christian Dior's garments were over the top, really bold and eye catching.
If you were living in 1950s would you have worn the New Look or do you think it was wrong?
If i was living in the 1950's i wouldnt wear have worn the new look because at that time it was really expensive and i dont think i would have been able to afford it. The costings of Christian Diors garments were really expensive and shocking compared to the world war and ration.
