MOOD BOARD

This is a digital mood board i have produced on photoshop as its more easier and quicker to create it digitally. My mood board is based on party outfits. I researched on party outfits and selected a variety of party dresses from the internet. The party dresses that i researched on mainly involved the colour red. I decided to use the colour red because i would wear something bright and flashy to a party and look visually impactive. There are simple patterns and designs on these party outfits which inspired me to do something simple for a finishing touch of my final garment. I have created a colour palette to remember and help me what colours i will be using for my final garment.









FLAT ILLUSTRATIONS

These are flat illustrations that i have roughly sketched out.I sketched out 10, added patterns and chose one out of the 10 roughs that i really liked and worked on that further more in details. Most of my flats have floral patterns because i really like floral and for it look more attractive maybe add something glittery either sequins or stones to make it look tempting.



SAMPLES

These are the samples i have made which is pleating and gathering. Gathering is a sewing technique where you can make the fabric go shorter. Pleating is where you overlap the fabric and pin each pleat up and start sewing. You would mostly see pleats in skirts as they use it often. When making them samples i found it tricky. I used the over locker to sew the fabric that frays. After completing the 2 samples i ironed them so it looks neat.


FLATS

These are digital flats. The colour on these flats  relates to the party research that i researched on. I used the colour picker on photoshop to get the correct colour. The colour palette  shows what colours i used on each and every item.






POLYVORE MOODBOARD

This is a moodboard I created on polyvore.
Polyvore is a website where you get a variety
of different products and create a set. My
polyvore contains a lot of red. It relates to my didital
flats and the digital mood board i have created.














FINAL ILLUSTRATION

This is the final illustration i chose to create for
my final outcome for the garment. This final illustration
shows what materials i will be using on my garment and
it also shows what colour i am going to add.














FINAL PATTERN

This is the final pattern of my garment. I have a front and a back.
On the front and back pattern i have marked the seam allowance
and darts.
